ARLINGTON, VA – CropLife America is excited to welcome Dr. Becca Haynie to the association’s science and regulatory team. Dr. Haynie will join the organization on July 10, 2023, as the director of regulatory affairs and brings with her years of experience in pesticide regulation and knowledge of current pesticide issues affecting pesticide retailers and end-users.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – CropLife America (CLA) is excited to announce the promotion of Dr. Manojit “Mano” Basu to vice president, science policy. Mano joined the association in May 2019, as the managing director of the science and regulatory department, bringing more than a decade of experience in the regulatory and research departments in food, pesticide, and biotech organizations

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Each year, CropLife America (CLA) honors individuals who are dedicated to improving the pesticide industry and American agriculture. At this year’s CropLife Annual Meeting, held September 25 – 28 in San Antonio, Texas, the industry presented two Lifetime Achievement Awards to outstanding individuals who have dedicated their illustrious careers to agriculture and whose work helped find solutions for the industry’s most pressing issues.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – During their 2022 Annual Meeting, CropLife America (CLA), the national association representing the manufacturers and distributors of pesticides, elected Andy Lee, president and CEO, Valent North America, as its newest chair of the CLA Board of Directors. Lee will hold the position for two years and use his diverse background to help guide the association. Andy succeeds Paul Rea of BASF Corporation who led the board from 2020 - 2022.

Held September 25 – 28 in San Antonio, Texas, CLA’s members and allies gathered to celebrate the industry’s progress and chart a new path for enhancing food productivity, regulatory efficiency, and on-farm sustainability.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - CropLife America (CLA) is excited to welcome incoming Vice President, Government Relations Peggy Browne. With years of experience in agriculture, government, and policy, Peggy will use her expertise to lead CLA’s government relations team.

CropLife America (CLA) is excited to welcome Scott Dahlman to the association’s government affairs team. Scott has joined the organization as the director of state government affairs with a focus in the western region. Scott brings with him years of experience in supporting farmers, ranchers, and timber owners throughout the Northwest.

The development of innovations and technologies that can further agricultural sustainability, the future political landscape, and the need for uniting the voice of the pesticide industry were key topics at the 2021 CLA and RISE Joint Annual Meeting, held September 12 – 15. The meeting provided an opportunity for CLA and RISE members to review 2021 initiatives and reflect on the opportunities ahead for the industry.
