Member Classifications

Basic Manufacturer: The term “basic manufacturer” will mean a company, subsidiary, or division which manufactures or has manufactured for it and sells one or more basic or industry products, and the sale by such entity of its basic products to affiliated entities or third parties represents 50% or more of such entity’s total sales. The membership classification of branch offices, sales offices, trade representative offices, subsidiaries and other similar offices will be based upon the business activities of the parent entity.

Formulator/Distributor: The term “formulator /distributor” shall mean a company which is not classified as a basic manufacturer that

1) formulates or has formulated for its industry products; or

2) is engaged in the resale, distribution, or facilitation of the sale of industry products.

Associate Members: Any company that does not qualify as an active member but which is engaged in research or technical service related to the development, application, or use of industry product, or the characteristics of such products, or any company which is providing business services to the industry, shall be eligible for associate membership in the Association.

Food & Beverage Company Members: Any company selling food and/or beverages on which an industry product has been used, or any association representing such companies, shall be eligible as a food and beverage member in the Association. Members shall be approved by the Board in accordance with the Association’s By-Laws. This class of membership shall only be entitled, as a right of membership in the Association, to select members of a standing committee to represent their interests.

Booster Members: As a Booster Member you are eligible to participate in CropLife PAC events and you will receive a lapel pin to show your pride each year as well as a special gift when attending CLA's annual meeting in-person. You will enjoy all the privileges of membership, except voting and holding elective office.
