New State Government Affairs Director to Head Industry Issues in the West

ARLINGTON, V.A. - CropLife America (CLA) is excited to welcome Scott Dahlman to the association’s government affairs team. Scott has joined the organization as the director of state government affairs with a focus in the western region. Scott brings with him years of experience in supporting farmers, ranchers, and timber owners throughout the Northwest.

“CropLife America is committed to promoting science-based regulations that enhance agriculture sustainability, protect public health, and recognize the potential of agriculture to address climate issues,” Chris Novak, president and CEO of CLA said. “Scott’s extensive experience representing farmers and ranchers and working with state legislators and regulators will help CLA successfully communicate on these issues and better represent our members’ needs.”

Scott previously led Oregonians for Food and Shelter and actively represented farmers and ranchers on regulatory issues for the Washington State Farm Bureau. Most recently, Scott served as the state registration and regulatory affairs manager at FMC, where he led regulatory efforts in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona. Scott steps into the role currently held by Jeff Case, a 39-year agriculture policy veteran who is retiring from CLA next year after 15 years with the organization.
