CropLife America Looks Forward to Working With Freedhoff
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Dr. Michal Freedhoff as the next Assistant Administrator overseeing the EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP). Dr. Freedhoff's scientific background and education will be an advantage at the Agency and her extensive policy experience overlaps with the duties and functions of OCSPP.
“CropLife America congratulates Dr. Freedhoff on her appointment and we look forward to working with her to emphasize the importance of science in our industry,” said Chris Novak, CLA’s president and CEO. “CLA supports the risk-based regulation approach that EPA takes to pesticide regulation, and Dr. Freedhoff’s encouraging public comments on this same topic in the past gives us confidence that she will continue to underscore the need for science-based pesticide registration to protect public health and the environment.”
