CLA Supports Comment Extension Request to USTR

CropLife America, through the Americans for Free Trade Coalition, signed on to a letter to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) seeking a 30-day extension of the comment period regarding proposed modifications to the ongoing Section 301 China tariff actions. This includes a new exclusion process limited to machinery for U.S. manufacturing and specific exclusions for solar manufacturing equipment. In addition to an extension, the letter requests that USTR organize a public hearing to allow stakeholders the opportunity to present their views on the proposed tariff modifications and exclusions to the administration directly.
