CropLife America submitted comments to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) on Procedures for Quantification, Reporting and Verification of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Associated with the Production of Domestic Agricultural Commodities Used as Biofuel Feedstocks. The comments focus on how pesticides enable several climate smart agriculture practices like conservation tillage and cover crops. Additionally, the comments include information on the University of Arkansas Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and how without the use of pesticides, GHG emissions from farms would be much higher.
