CLA Supports U.S. Leadership in Global Food Standards

CLA, alongside other members of the Food Industry Codex Coalition (FICC), signed a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, urging continued U.S. leadership and engagement with the Codex Alimentarius Commission (Codex). The letter emphasizes the importance of Codex in promoting science-based decision-making, fair trade, and global market access for American agriculture. The coalition also calls for a proactive U.S. Codex strategy, sufficient resources, and strong interagency and diplomatic support to help ensure American farmers, food producers, and exporters remain competitive on the global stage.
