CLA, ASTA and ARA Submit Joint Comments

Along with our partners at American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) and Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA), we submitted comments to the EPA supporting the agency’s current exemption of treated seeds from unnecessary and duplicative regulation. As EPA has found, pesticides used on treated seed are subject to robust regulation.  Any additional regulation under FIFRA would be redundant and more costly to both producers and growers. Treated seed gives farmers more precision in their growing practices, allowing for more efficiency with their inputs while protecting our planet.
