CLA and RISE Submits Comments for the Registration Review Draft Ecological Risk Assessment and Drinking Water Assessment for Chlorothalonil

CLA and RISE submitted comments in response to the Registration Review Draft Ecological Risk Assessment and Drinking Water Assessment for Chlorothalonil (EPA-HQ-OPP-2011-0840-0140). They strongly advocated for the use of the appropriate guideline study for risk assessment purposes rather than studies designed under the endocrine disruptor screening program (EDSP). The guideline study developed by Office of Pesticide Programs and Toxic Substances is fit for purpose in determining adverse effect concentrations related to growth, reproduction, and survival in fish, while the EDSP study is designed for understanding endocrine responses rather than effect thresholds.
