CropLife America Supports Feeding the Economy Report Demonstrating Agriculture’s Strong Economic Impact

ARLINGTON, VA – In celebration of National Agriculture Day on March 18, 2025, the annual Feeding the Economy Report was released today. This report is a historic farm-to-fork economic impact study that helps estimate the direct and indirect economic contributions of the food and agriculture industries on jobs, wages, economic output, and business taxes. CropLife America (CLA) is pleased to sponsor this report, along with 36 other food and agriculture groups.

“Spanning the entire food value chain, the Feeding the Economy report is an incredibly useful tool to share the economic contributions of the agricultural industry with lawmakers and American consumers. The report highlights the significant economic impact of America’s food and agriculture sector, including that of the pesticide industry,” said Alexandra Dunn, CLA president and CEO. “We are very proud of the role our members’ tools and technologies play in supporting a safe, affordable, and healthy food supply for American families and many around the world.”

CLA is committed to advocating for science-based policies that enable farmers and growers to continue producing safe, affordable, and sustainable food. With ongoing challenges such as regulatory uncertainty, supply chain disruptions, and the need for continued investment in agricultural technology, the findings of the Feeding the Economy report highlight the critical necessity of us all supporting America’s food and agriculture industries.
